Armstead Heathcote Shiraz 2015
Great structural integrity on the mid palate, a rich Cambrian Shiraz with a lovely ‘soft start’ and fruit intensity, lush red berry flavours playfully lingering on the finish.
Sub-region: A blend of premium fruit from four different sub-regions – Colbinabbin, Toolleen, Heathcote and Kimbolton
Harvested: by hand
Aged: French and American oak,
Palate: bright red berries and juicy plum, with a subtle white pepper finish
This is a great example of Heathcote, cooler climate shiraz, with raspberries and blackberries, it’s a little more elegant than a warmer climate Shiraz, great length and intensity. I have enjoyed this with some of my favourite spicy Chinese dishes, bring your imagination to the table, along with this great wine!
